A COMPLAINT AND A QUERY.
(To the Editor of the Nobth Oxago Times.) Sir, — Could you inform me whether the Koad Board, elected to look after the interests of the district lying between the Junction Hotel, Papakuio, and the Awamoko Creek, has ceased to exist ? Our Poundkeeper deems it advantageous and prudent to make the publio roads his paddock, and does so with impunity, while the" Board in quostiou haB taken steps to prevent anyone else from allowing his cattle to trespass on the said roads. I oan't comprehend why the Poundkeeper should be so exclusively privileged an individual. If his cattle are sent home [we presume our correspondent meant to write, " to the pound." — Ed. N.O.T.] it only saves him the trouble of collecting them. If you, Sir, would kindly give a corner to the foregoing, and answer the queries therein contained, you would oblige yours, &c, An Enqttiber. [We comply with the last request of our correspondent, viz., tb.8 publication Of his letter. As to the query* *' Whether the Road Board in question has oeased to exist ?" we reply that we havo nd information to that effect.— Ed. N.O.T.J
