COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE.
Oamahu Times Oflice, Monday evening. The buiineit of the month bus been dull for the •ea»on, notwithstanding, large quantities of wool have arrived. There has been but little done in the grain market, and no fluctuations, noteworthy, have taken place. The following are the ruling rates :— Wheat ia per buihel, oati 2a to 2s 3d ; flour Lll to Lll 10s.
DUNEDIN.— The "Daily Times" of yesterday reports :— Although a fair amount of business may said to be doing, there is but little indication of activity. In colonial provisions, we note cheese as over supplied, and difficult to v move. Northern butter is not enquired for, but good parcels of colonial Imms and bacon are rather scarce. The grain market has, in consequence of late Melbourne advices, gainod something in firmness ; but flour, though apparently rallying at first, has not tattled down to any better figure. Quotations vary from L12 to L13, the latter the current rate for parcels of the best town made. Good grinding wheats are quoted at 4s 9d to 5s ; demand moderate. Barley without improvement. Oats 2s 9d to 2i lOd.
