There are no operations in wheat. A ■mall parcel of barlej has found a purchaser at 3s 4d. There is an increased demand for timber for building purposes, wo quote — kauri and red pine assorted, 19» per 100 feet sup. ; blue gum, 24s ; Tasmanian posts and rails, L7 per 100, first-class sample ; paiings, 5 and 6 feet, 25s and 27s par joo. Opines are declining.
