On Saturday last, Mr Henry Franco sold by auction at Brooke Farm (Mr Clayton's) the growing crops, stock, Implement*, ic there. Despite most unfavorable weather ttae attendance of buyers was good, and very fair prices were obtained. The crops on 58 acres, with lease, fetched L247 10s. DUNEDIN.— Driver, Maclean and Co held their opening sale of wool, sheepskins, hides, &c, yesterday, at their warehouse, High-street. The attendance was xnoro numerous than on any former occasion, and included all our principal merchants, wool scourers, and •everal buyers on foreign account. Although there was a disposition to await the arrival ef the English mail, now overdue, the bidding was spirited, and satisfactory price* were obtained. 850 bales were catalogued, consisting of scoured fleece, and greasy sorts ?i h f A fo, 1k°, wing prii u es were stained :—Greasy fleece, 9^1 to 12d : shpe, l2d to 18hd ; scoured, 24Ad to 27d. Extra bale scoured fleece from Mr F. D. Rich's rams realised 2s Hid per lb. Sheepskins, 6^d to 83d per lb. One lot brought 6s each, and 8s each was obtained for a few merino skins from rams bred by Me&srs W Depraves and Co., Victoria. Tallow, L36 to L38 per ton — Daily Times, 22nd insfc.
