OAMARU STOCK REPORT.

A-s anticipated in our lait Repoit, the past has been a comparatively quiet month in store sheep, very few ofTeiing. andbuyers unwilling to cive an advance piopoitionato to the season. Iu ewo3, fiom the near uppioach to lambing, we may consider transactions will close with this month, and buyers desirous of investing will turn more Attention to stoio wedders, for which there now is, and will be. a f.iir, though \imited, demand. The largo number of sheep introduced dm ing the past season liaviug neai ly supplied the wants of purchasci s in Southland nml Otago, and from the natuial incioase we m.\y expect, wo must be prepared for somewhat easier rates in making estimates ot sales for next season. In cnttle, this district lias been neaily cleared out, and prices between tho two I'rovinces approach neaier to equality ; indeed, we may expect very soon to offer such prices for fat cattle as will induco Canterbury holders to forward to this Province, especially as the West Coast market does not now offer the hitherto prevailing high rates theie.

Cattle— Fat -on the station in Utago are now worcn 45s to 47a Cd per 100 lb. In Canteibury, 47a 6d to 52s 6d. Stores, mixed, L7 10a to L9, according to age and condition. . .

Weddeks, Fat.— There is a fair limited demand at 32d per lb on the station. Stores ara more inquired for, and saleable at 12s 6d to 13s for 2, 4. and 6 tooth. Ewes. — Our quotations remain without alteration. Since our last wo have sold 3200 (2, 4, and 6 tooth) at 17s Gd ; 1400 (2-tooth) at 18s ; 3500 (8-tooth) at 11s 6d to 12s ; 1100 (broken-mouth) at 7s Od ; and 400 (full and broken) in lamb to choice Leicesters, at 12s each.

Lambs.— The «eason being now far advanced, quotations would be purely nominal. We havo no fresh transactions to report during the past month, except a small lot of half-bred Leicester wedder lambs, quitted at Its each.

House Stock.— "We would request the attention of breeders and farmers to our sale at Totora, near Oamaru, on 21st iust., of about 80 bead of Mr Holmes'* bioken and unbroken heavy aud light draught stock, many of them pure Clydesdales, and mares in foal to first-class horses.

Station Properties. — We have no transactions during the psist month to report, but tiro now in treaty for several privately on satisfactory terms. ROYSE, MU.DIE, AND MILLER, Stock and Station Agents. Oamaru, Juno 14.
