THE CITIZENS' HOLL.

(To tho Editor of the Oam uiu Times. ) Sin, — Allow me to nst whether tho " Roll of Citizens'* for the incorporated town of Oamaru hns been made up, and whether it is to ineludo those possessing property in town, non-resident as well as resident? A question has arisen on this subject in one of the other provinces. I think, in terms of tho Municipal Ordinance of Otago, that the ofllcor in charge should at least put down in his first list all •who have claims — resident and non-resident— and leave it to others to give in objections should they think fit. I also think that he or the Superintendent should fix a Court of Revision before tho election, and have the roll correct. It appears quite evident that the long interval occurring from the time of first seeking information as to claims until the first nomination day is meant to admit of the Roll being thoroughly made up. — Yours, &c. Citizen. Oaraaru, 13th June, 18G6.
