The State-aid debate on Friday lasted until one o'clock on Saturday afternoon, when it was adjourned until Tuesday. The Garibaldi, from Callao, brings 1 000 bags Chilian flour. The Arnycus, 320 tons Clulian breadstuff's ; and the Herald of Light, 350 tons flour. On Saturday night a half-drunken man named Green stabbed a man named Shearer, severing tho jugular rein. Shearer died immediately. At the inquest a verdict of wilful murder was returned against Green, who was arraigned yesterday at the Criminal Court, but allowed until to-morrow to procure counsel. Dunn was hanged on Monday. He died very penitent, and without a struggle. The Opera troupo arrived safely. In BcrtrancVs case a new trial has been granted by a majority of two to one.
