The tone of business remains nrach as formerly reported ; the town being more quiet than mual in consequence of the farmers being wholly occupied in harvest operations. For thi« work, wo have to record a continuance of the moit favorable weather. Several steam threahing machinoi are now at work in this district, and from tho extent of the crop we can foresee a. sufficiency of employment for all for some time to come. "We have not heard of any transactions in now wheat as yet, but ■we believo (Ss 3d to 6s Cd per bushel will be about its price ; barley, 5s to 6s ; new oati, 4s Gd to 5s ; no old onts in the market; we quote prices of flour as formerly ; bran, 2s Gd ; chaff, per ton, L6 to L7 j potatoes, L6 to L8 ; Hay (new) L4 to L5. The total quantity of wool sent from this port up to the 12th instant, for tho season, amounts to 54H8 bales, nearly tho total number shipped last year. A considerable number of bales will yet be sent off, as a good portion of tho lambs' wool has not yet come to hand. Tho total number will exceed 6000 bales.
