TOWN BOARD MEETING.

A meeting of tho Town Boaid was held on Monday evening last, in the Court House, when the following; members wore present, viz. :— Messrs S. Gibhs, J. Waddell, G. R. Taylor, and C. Kleeber. Mr Gibbs in the chair. The Hi lutes of previous meeting wore read and confirmed. The Clerk then read tho correspondence between the Board and the Provincial Secretary on several subjects, the lesults of which shortly are as follow : — The Govprnment are not yet in a position to hand over the Cm»wu Giants for the Oaniaru Municipal Reserves, and expect a still further delay "Nothing can theiefore he done by the Board at present, nor, indeed, until an ordinance can be passed by the Piovincial Council, providing for thfir management.
