EXPOBTS. Per Geelong, for Xyttelton. — 4 hhds lime, G08 bshls wheat, 200 do oats, £ ton flour, 1 ton potatoes, Traill, Koxby and Co.
The ship Queen of India arrived at Port Chalmers on the 20th hist., fiom London, after a fine passage of 86 days. She had fine weather to the longitude of the Cape ; and the Cape de Verde Islands and Tiistan d'Achuna were sighted. When between 45 ° and 48 ° E. veiy stiong gales from the N.W. were met, and portions of the bulwarks were washed away. Again, fiom Cape Lewin to Tasmania, heavy weather was encountered ; but from thence moderate westerly winds and fine weather prevailed. Tho Queen of India is commanded by Captain Thornton, who is well-known, and who foimeily commanded the Armenia. The Queen of India has brought fourteen cabin and six steerage passengpis ; and they express themselves as delighted with the ship and her captain. — Daily Times. The ship Lizzie Southard, 1044 tons, Capt. A. Arbury, left the Downs on the 28th Febiuary. Had a strong gale from the westward, from the Channel to the Bay of Biscay. From thence to the Equator had fine weather. Took four men from the ship Fawn, on fire, bound to Manilla from Cardiff. All hands were saved. The barques Naval Bi igade, for London, Queen of the Ocean, and the ship Rosalie, for Liverpool, 'took the remainder of the officei s and crew. Had light weather f i om the Equator to the Cape. The passage thence to this port ■was performed in 38 days. John Scott, a steerage passenger, who was suffering ft om consumption, died during the voyage. The passengers speak highly of their treatment by the captain, and of the ship. — Ibid. The ship Eastward Ho, Captain Byrne, left New York on the 21st March. Had fine weather to the Equator, where she was becalmed twelve days, after which had stiong breezes from "W. and N.TV. Han into a dead calm off Cape Saunders on tho 23rd instant, and an ived off the Heads on the 24th, at 3 p.m. Sighted no vessels, and had no accident or death on board. A portion of the cargo is for Sydney and Adelaide. — Ibid. The " "West Coast Times,'' of the 21st inst., reports that activp steps are being taken to get the Bruce off, as well as the Nelson and the Mary Ann Christina. The s.s. Ruby was ashore at the Spit, almost in the same place as the Bruce. Men -vrere employed discharging her cargo. The Advance is lying on the beach at the Grey, and the Midge and Nautilus are ashore. The bar almost closes up the mouth of the river. — Ibid. The ship Carribou, shortly expected at Port Chalmers from Glasgow, has, we understand, got on boai d all the Government plant for the Timaru Boating Service.
