In Matrimony

CHANDLER SIMPSON The Onehunga Methodist Chuich was the scene of a quiet but pretty wedding on Saturday, November 4th, when Etta Norah (Bessie) second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Simpson of Takahue, was united in holy matrimony with Ronald, younger son of Mr. and Mrs. Chandler of Milford. The Rev. E. C. Leadley was the officiatng clergyman. The bride who entered the church escorted by her father, wore a beautiful wedding gown of white embossed satin. Her long white tulle wedding veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. Her necklace was of triple pearls and she carried a bouquet of white roses and carnations. Attending the bride was her sister, Doris, who was dressed in pale pink satin with head-dress to match. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. The duties of bestman were carried out by Mr. P. Chandler, brother of the groom. Mrs. Simpson, mother of the bride, wore a navy blue frock of uncrushable velvet with accessories to match. Mrs. Chandler, mother of the groom, wore a navy blue tailored costume with accessories to match. The reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Temple at Te Papa where after a sumptuous wi riding breakfast the usual toast list was duly honoured. The duties f toastmaster were in the hands of Mr. H. Crene. The young couple later left for their honeymooa, the bride travelling in a brown costume with hat to match.
