KAITAIA GOLF CLUB On Saturday, a Stableford Bogey was won by M. Morison with 34. A consolation Stableford played in conjunction for members who had not won a trophy, was won by J. Agnew with 31, the next best cards returned being Robinson and Bellingham with 30 each. Handicap Reductions During the weekend, reductions in hamßcSip-s -W£re_madc, J. Agnew going from 30 to 2T, ahu 4 JL Theeo from 15 to 13. Labour Day Tournament A 36-hole nett Medal was won hy A. J. Mackintosh with 72-77-149, the runner-up being W. Sutherland with 71-79-150. An 18-hole Bogey was also won by A. J. Mackintosh with 1 down, but his previous win had disqualified him, this thus going to W. Sutherland with 2 down. An 18-hole Stableford was won by A. M. Theed with 35, the runner-up being L. Pointon with 34. Intermediate Championship The final of this was also placed during the weekend, the winner being A. M. Theed who defeated E. Bellingham by 6 and 5. Next Saturday The final Medal Competition will be played next Saturday. Players will arrange their own fours, and starting times between 12.45 p.m. and 1.20 p.m. Closing Day Closing Day of the Club will be on Saturday, November sth.
LADIES’ GOLF CLUB Following is the draw for a consolation match to be played next Saturday : 12.00 : Mesdames Trussed, Yendeil and Miss Peters. 12.05 : Mesdames Carson, King and Marevich. 12.10 : Mesdames Osbaldiston, Gooch and Dykes. 12.15 : Mesdames Wilkinson, Bird and White. 12.20 : Mesdames Kelly, Paterson and Wright. Other members wishing a game are invited to play a sixpenny scramble between 9 a.m. and 9.25 a m. ® The Reynolds Trophy completed last Saturday, the best three out of four Medal Rounds, was won hy Mrs. G. A. Nicholls. The Bogey Match played over 36 holes also completed last Saturday was won by Mrs. Watts 6 down, ® In the Labour Day Tournament, Mrs. McKinnon won the Eclectic competition and Mrs. McKinnon and Mrs. Crosby tied for the Stableford, Mrs. Crosby winning on the count back, thus winning Mrs. J. E. Wilkinson’s trophy. Mrs. McKinnon reduced her handicap from 26 to 22. ® The annual meeting of the Ladies’ Golf Club will be held at the Clubhouse on Wednesday, November 9tli, at 2.30 p.m.
