Band Rendition

HOSPITAL GROUNDS Despite the poor condition of the weather on Sunday afternoon, there was a fair crowd in the hospital grounds to listen to the Kaitaia Municipal Band when they played for the patients in the Mangonui County Hospital. The work of the band has improved i markedly of recent weeks, and shows that a keen devotion to practice and rehearsal has been paid. A lengthy repertoire was gone through, among which was “Simplicity Fantasia,” “The Grenadier’s Waltz,” “Invercargill March,” “Clarendon Fantasia” and the hymn “Jesu, Lover of My Soul.” At the close of the performance, the band massed and had its photo taken.
