Personal Mi-. N. Bakalich is at present staying with Mr. J. Stanisich. Dance A dance in aid of the Yugo-Slav Popular Girl was held in the Wai-hax-ara Memorial Hall on Friday last. There was a bumper crowd and the Waiharara musicians kept feet busy. A good repast was offered and sur-

plus cakes were afterwards sold. Mr. M, J. Srhoj officiated in his usual position as m.c. Several novelty dances were well patronised. Mr. T. Ngaropo and Mrs. J. Toke won a monte carlo, and a ticket waltz was won by Mr. J. Stanisich and Miss M. Boroevich. Miss M. Houshani won a competition and a pair of slippers was won by Miss Z. Stanisich. Mr. Pointon introduced Miss Gladys Brljevich to the public and she spoke in a few well chosen words, thanking those present for the support. Dancing continued until a late hour.
