Waiharara News

Personal Miss Jean Murdoch of Tauranga arrived in the district this week and will stay for sometime with her sister, Mrs. Roy Hoggard of Kaimaumau. We are sorry to hear that Mrs. Heath is at present an inmate of the Kaitaia hospital. Mesdames Klaus, Senior and Junior, and Miss Hazel Klaus, of Morrinsville, visited Mr. and Mrs. W. Steed during last week. Miss E. Steed has returned from a trip by plane to Auckland. Sympathy is felt for Mr. Mate Yelavich and Mrs. Mate Srhoj Jnr., who have recently had sad news from their own country, saying that their father has died. Entertaining Cricket During the weekend the local lads formed two cricket teams and had a good day’s sport. They played on Mr. E. Shine’s paddock.
