11 The Kaitaia Chamber of Commerce ’• held its November meeting at the e offices of the Secretary, Mr. L. G, d Thompson, at midday on Tuesday g The President, Mr. Rhys Williams >. occupied the chair. Correspondence In reply to the Chamber’s request for consideration of a proposed ail 11 service timetable discussed at the " last meeting, the General Managei e of the National Airways Corporation ■ advised that a further timetable 0 would be submitted for the Chamber’s e appi-oval at a later date. The request had been prompted by the Chamber’s desire to secure for the far north a return daily service to Auckland. J General Offical delegates appointed to represent Kaitaia at the 11th annua' conference of the Northland Associa--0 ted Chambers of Commerce, which is e to be held in Kaitaia on Saturday, t November 29th, were Messrs. E. R ¥ Bird, A. Maylin Theed, 11. A. Timbers e and L. G. Thompson. As President ' also of the Northland Association Mr. Williams will occupy the chair Catering arrangements are in hand and as the host Chamber Kaitaia will _ provide the funds for the entertain j ment of the visiting delegates. It was also resolved that the Mayor ol ,] Kaitaia be requested to open the con ference, and the President was rej quested to contact the local Businesse men’s Association and to invite memj bers to meet Mr. Heaney, the Secref tary of the Dominion Associated ( _ Chambers of Commerce, who will address a meeting, probably that event in S' r Remits to the conference (as pubd lished previously) were also discussed, but delegates were not giver f specific instructions as to the line s of action to be followed.
