M.U. Lodge Notes
The Loyal Kaitaia branch of the M.U.1.0.0.F. held its meeting on Monday last in the Parish Hall, P.G. Bro. Begley presiding in the absence of the N.G., Bro. Hooper. The Honours of the Order were conferred upon the District Grand Master, Bro. Meads, who was accorded a hearty welcome. Bro. Meads gave a very interesting address on affairs *of interest to Manchester Unity members. The social hour was spent in dancing, music being supplied by Sister K. Gibson P.G. and Bro. E. Hansen P.G. Gifts were won by Bros. I. Brien and H. Sanders. The next meeting will be on 17th February, when the social hour will be Flag 500.
PUBLIC TRUST OFFICE Statement For December, 1946
Estates to the value of £597,037 were reported and accepted for administration by the Public Trustee during the month of December, 1946. The total value of estates and funds under administration by the Public Trustee on the 31st March, 1946, was £67,598,875, and the new business for the nine months ended 31st December was £6,408,640. Grants of administration made by the Court in favour of the Public Trustee numbered 127 for the month. During the month 442 new wills appointing the Public Trustee executor were prepared on behalf of testators and lodged for safe custody, and 488 existing wills were revised to provide for changes desired by testators. The total number of wills now held in the Public Trust Office on behalf of living persons is 135,062.
