Independent Withdraws From Bay Campaign
Mr. W. R. Vallance, Independent candidate for the Bay of Islands seat has announced his withdrawal from the campaign owing to transport restrictions preventing attendance of farmers at meetings, lack of time to cover adequately the whole electorate, and to a feeling that the issue should be confined to a decision between the supporters and opponents of the Labour Government.
