Mrs. R. Lewis travelled south on Saturday. Mr. Sullivan, of the Kaitaia hospital, left for Auckland last Saturday. Tom Mclntosh spent a few days in Kaitatia this week. Miss Joyce May returned to Whangarei last Monday. Mrs. D. R. Jameson has l'eturned after visiting her mother, Mrs. S. White, of Whangarei. Sgt.-Pilot R. Werner, who has been in Kaitaia on furlough, returned south on Saturday. Aircraftsman Frank Cade, who has been in Kaitaia on leave, retui'ned South on Wednesday. The engagements were recently announced of Miss Olwyn Atkin to Sgt.Pilot Douglas McClellon of Auckland, and Miss Elsie Crene to Gnr. Aithur Trigg of Kaitaia.
