ST. SAVIOUR’S CHURCH GUILD ANNUAL MEETING

The annual meeting of the St. Saviour’s Church Guild was held recently, the Rev. A. F. Collard-Scruby presiding. The minutes of the last annual meeting as read were confirmed. An agreement was made to place a new organ seat in the church, also an electric light point placed near the organ. The election of officers for the coming year resulted as follows:—President: Mrs. Timbers, re-elected; vicepresidents, Mrs. Hec.ditch and Mrs. H. Mclntosh; treasurer. Mrs. Nilsson; secretary, Mrs. Stinson; committee, president, vice-presidents, secretary, treasurer and Mrs Rule; Thanks were conveyed to the hon. auditor, Mr. L. Mclntosh, and to the judges who officiated at the last flower show for services rendered.

SCHOOL COMMITTEE ELECTIONS

At the meeting of householders held last evening to elect c school committee for the Kaitaia District High School fo: the ensuing year the following members were appointed:— Chairman.—Mr. L. L. Pettit; secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. E. Foster; committee, Messrs. G. Stensness, F. A. Holder, H. A. Thompson, W. N. Perkins and Mrs. J. Roughsedge, with a further two to be appointed by the Education Board. Awanui School .. Officers elected for the Awanui School Committee for the coming year are as follows:—Chairman and treasurer, Mr. H. G. Subritzky; secretary, Mr. A. W. Gray; committee, Messrs. A. A. Dykins, H. H. Switzer, J. Dragicevich, A. Viskovich and one to be appointed by the board.
