Patriotic Card Evening Once more the weekly card evenings held in the Oruru school in aid of Paritotic funds proved successful, nine tables being occupied. Mrs. Downes was the winner of the lady’s prize while Mr. N. Barriball won the gentleman’s. At the conclusion a very dainty supper was served. * * * Purely Personal Miss E. Kitchen motored to Auckland on Sunday for a short holiday. Mr. and Mrs. Young of Auckland are camping at Taipa. Mr. O. Edwards has commenced work with Messrs. Worth and Weber at Kaitaia. . Mrs. Tim Gordon is the guest of Mrs. R. Harrison. Mr. F. Jacentho has returned from a business visit to Auckland. Mr. V. Noble-Beasley of Cable Bay leaves this week on a business visit to Auckland. Mrs. F. Jacentho is spending a few days as the guest of Mrs. Beasley.
