Purely Personal Miss Merle Taylor of Auckland is spending a holiday with her mother, Mrs. G. Taylor. Misses B. Wrathall and R. Panther are camping at Taipa. Mrs. V. Noblc-Beasley of Cable Bay has returned from a short visit j to Auckland. Mrs. Walmsley Snr. has returned to her home at Totara after a holiday spent with Mr. and Mrs. H. Walmsley. Mrs. H. Rawle and small son are camping at Taipa. Mrs. J. Taylor of Taipa has as her guest her brother, Mr. R. Bramley. Dance for School Picnic Funds Quite a jolly crowd gathered at the | dance to help swell the funds for the Oruru School Children’s annual picnic. The function took place in Garton’s j hall and Mr. Eric Taylor who had j charge of the floor arrangements, kept things moving merrily to music ! supplied by Mrs. \V. Christensen and Mr. A. Logan, with an extra by Miss C. Garton. A monte carlo waltz was won by Mrs. Kirk and partner, while j Mr. W. Barriball was the winner of a pair of fowls and Mrs. B. A. Trigg a box of chocolates. A very dainty supper was served after which dancing was resumed until a later hour.
