Mi\ Dick Hawkins is on holiday in Auckland. Mr. Tom Ballantine left for Wellington on Monday. Mr. T. S. McKeown returned to Auckland this week. Mr. A. H. Long who has been visiting Kaingaroa, has returned to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Balero, late of Kaitaia, and now resident at Towai, have been visiting friends at Oturu. Mr. J. Seagrove who has been away on holiday leave has resumed duties at the Awanui branch office of A. G. Frankham and Co. Master Gordon White, who has been in ill health for some time, returned home last week after sis weeks’ holiday spent at the Bay of Islands. Mr. Koti Allen of Ahipara, who has suffered since the war with a leg injury, was admitted to the hospital last Saturday and had to have his leg amputated immediately on arriving. Visitors to the Ahipara boardinghouse this week were Judge Acheson, Mr. Rapiha, Mr. Taua and Mr. Howe, all of the Native Land Board. They will hold court sittings at Roma and Pukepoto.
