Hon. H. G. R. Mason at Kaitaia
Mr. J. T. B. Taaffe presided over a large audience gathered at the A. and P. hall, Kaitaia, last Wednesday evening to listen to an address by the Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Justice. Mr. Mason’s talk largely dealt with the work done by the Labour Government during the last three years and legislation they intended to introduce if returned for a further term. He was accorded a very attentive hearing, interjections being few, but at the conclusion questions were numerous and catholic. On the motion of Mr. Fleming, seconded by Mr. Callaghan, a vote of thanks to Mr. Mason and confidence in the party he represented was carried with acclaim. After the meeting refreshments were served to all present.
