Anzac Day in Kaitaia

In timehonoured style Anzac Day was honoured in Kaitaia. The exservicemen of the district paraded at the post office at 10.45 and marched to the Princess theatre, where the commemoration service was held. Mr. W. Vickers, county chairman, presided at the service and introduced Captain Muir, whose address to the particularly large gathering took the form of a brief history of the Gallipoli campaign. The Rev. Mr. Scarrow read the lesson, and Mr. W. R. Langley played the hymn music. After the service the returned men were again paraded and marched to the cemetery to place wreaths on the graves of former comrades.
