BAY OF ISLANDS ELECTRICPOWER DISTRICT LOAN PROPOSAL | • | JN Pursuance of the provisions of Section 10 of the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, public notice is hereby given that the Bay of Islands Electric-power Board under the provisions of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, the Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926, the Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926, and of all other powers (if any) enabling the Board in that behalf, proposes to borrow (by way of special loan within the meaning of the Local Bodies Loans Act 1926) the sum of £200,000 for the purpose of— Arranging for the supply and distribution of Electric-power to the Bay of Islands Electric-power District and for the construction of All Works incidental thereto, and in respect of which Works, guarantees as described in Clauses 21-43 of the Electric Supply Regulations 1935 have first been given in favour of the Power Board for payments amounting in each of not less than Five Consecutive Years from the completion of such Works to at least Fourteen Percent of the estimated Capital Cost of such Works; and of providing Funds for the Purposes mentioned in Section 118 of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1925, namely, making advances to Consumers. The proposed security for the said loan is to be an annual recurring special rate of two pence three farthings in the pound to be made and levied on the Unimproved value of all rateable property within the Bay of Islands Electric-power District; and the provision for repayment of the loan is a sinking fund of two pound* eighteen shillings (£2 18/-) per centum per annum, which shall commence to accrue at the expiration of two years from the date of the raising of the loan and the first payment to such sinking fund shall be made not later than three -years after the first day from which (hterest to the lender or' lenders is yhnputed on the said loan or any yAvt thereof s 0 raised. The said\joa/ is to be repayable twenty-five >/ars after date of raising the same. It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest for the first year. No sinking fund instalment will be paid out of loan moneys. Dated this 12th day of April, 1938. c.
