Schools Sweet Pea Clubs Formed Sweet pea clubs have been formed among the pupils of the various schools in the North by Mr. H. J. Dennehy, Agriculture Instructor, and this movement has been taken up most enthusiastically by the children and the school staffs. Already there are over 4000 members in the North and in the Kaitaia group of the Ahipara Native, Pukepoto Native, Kaitaia D.H., Fairburn, Oturu Native, Victoria Valley, Takahue and Pamapuria Native schools, there are 213 members, Mr. E. R. Heal of Pampuria being secretary. The groups are formed on the same lines as with the school calf clubs. The clubs are open to both boys and girls, and to pupils of primary as well as secondary schools. Each member is supplied with three seeds each of eight varieties of sweet ptas of different colours and these a r t planted at home by the children. An entry fee of 2d. is required to cover the cost of se°as and postage. It is proposed to hold a display of
