Lane’s launches, left Lower Oruru on Tuesday, with the last raft of logsA large number of logs have been rafted from Oruru to Totara North during the last year and there is now very little millable timber left in the valley. * * * * The early closing of the shops under the • new legislation, coupled with the extra half-hour of daylight under summer-time is being taken full advantage of by the tennis players among the shop assistants, and the Kaitaia tennis courts are in demand ever y fine evening.
