AHIPARA JUNIOR RED CROSS SOCIETY
The second annual meeting of the Aliipara Native School branch of the Junior lied Cross Society was held in the school room on Monday afternoon. The following officers were elected for the coming year:— Patron —Mrs. Braik President—Maude Napier Secretary—Richard Horsford Treasurer —Maelii Wi Committee—lvan Urlich, Matara Paitai, Evelyn Robertson, Greta Kusabs, Alice Babich, Robert Covich, Eunice Walters, Kamo Kerehoma and Sonnie Snowden. Members of the committee undertook various duties in connection with the carrying out of Red Cross work. The branch will also help with the sale of poppitffou Anzac Day. It was decided that the members should write regularly to the boys and girls who are away at college. Correspondence was received from the headquarters of the society in New Zealand and from the Saskatchewan branch in Canada. The patron of the latter sent a package of very interesting magazines, showing the activities of the Junior Red Cioss Society in various parts of the world.
