Numbering the People

With a view to familiarising the people with the census forms that are being issued in connection with the taking of the census this year, it has been arranged that radio broadcasts from all Y.A. Stations will be given. The first, an historical talk, took place last Tuesday evening. The next will take place on Tuesday next, the 10th inst., from 8.40 to 9 p.m. This will be a general talk on this census. The final broadcast will be from 7.40 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, 24th March, and will be a talk on the questions asked in the form and how to answer them. In addition, three announcements will be made in news sessions. The third, to be given on March 24th, will be as follows : “Occupiers or persons in charge of dwellings of any kind are reminded that the responsibility of furnishing completed census schedules lies upon them, irrespective, of whether or not schedules are actually delivered at their dwellings. If, by the late afternoon of Tuesday, 24th March, no schedules have been left at a dwelling, the householder or person in charge is advised to communicate with the Census Enumerator in charge of the district. The address or telephone number of the Enumerator may be obtained from the local post office.”

“Tourist trips over mountain” runs a notice. He should have looked where he was going.
