Women’s Division
KAITAIA BRANCH The meeting of the Kaitaia branch of the W,D. was held last Wednesday, Mrs. Buckle presiding over a fair attendance. Mrs. Wilkinson read the creed. A vote of sympathy was passed with Mrs. D, H. Lewis in the loss of her mother. In the competition for the best bloom Mrs. Stuart Masters was first and Mrs. A. Wilkinson second. For the best cluster Mrs. Vercamer was first and Mrs. Wilkinson second. Members answered to the roll call with some very original and amusing limericks. Next month’s roll call is to be a funny story, and instead of the usual competition a social hour will be held. Mrs. Frew was the winner of the bottle of fruit.
Mrs. Buckle gave a short address on the League of Nations.
There is still a quantity of Blind Institute basketware to be sold, and anyone wishing to inspect it may do so at Foster’s rooms. An enjoyable afternoon tea was served by Mesdames W., A. and Stuart Masters and J. Sowter.
