Court Sifting at Kaitaia

A sitting of the Magistrate’s Court was held at Kaitaia on Friday, Mr. J G. Hewitt S.M. presiding. A number of cases of breaches of the Motor Regulations were dealt with, chiefly those arising from inefficient brakes, and fines ranging to £2 10/- and costs, were imposed. For failure to pay his unemployment levy, M. Holloway was fined £2 and costs. For threatening behaviour likely to cause a breach of the peace, E. Ropey and E. DeAndrad were each fined £2 and costs. * * * * A sitting of the Court was held at Houhora on Monday of this week.
