The following reports on the London meat market as at the close of business last; week have been received by the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board : Lambs—The market is very firm, with better prices. Prospects for the season appear good. Mutton —The market for wethers is firm, with stocks fairly short. Ewes meeting with good trade. Beef Good consumption, with ' prices improved. Zealand baconers—Nominal. The Bank of New Zealand report is as follows : Wethers—The market is firm. Ewes—There is a better demand. Lambs The market is steady and no material change is ex-
pected yet. Current quotations : Wethers, light, s|d. to 51d. per lb.; heavy, 4d. to sd. ; ewes, 3id. to 41d.; lambs, twos, 71d. to 71d.; eights, 7id. to BJd. ; fours, not quoted ; seconds, 7d. to 74d.
