Advice has been received, that a Rodney team will also be travelling to play for the shield. * * * * An Auckland cricket touring team will play matches in this county as follows : Monday 31st and Tuesday January 1— Against North Auckland at Kaitaia Wednesday 2—Against a Mangonui XI at Victoria Valley Thursday 4 will be spent by the Auckland team in visiting points of interest in this district and on the next day; Friday', they will leave for Kaikohe. * * * * The Mangonui County team will be picked by the selectors, Messrs Roy H. Kelly, F. Panther and W. A. Wrathall to-morrow, Saturday. * * * * The eastern area club has broken up into its component parts, the senior team being Peria, and the junior team taking the name of Mangonui.
