Personal Pars
Mrs. Feisst, Mrs. Hodgens and her two daughters, Miss L. Wrathall, and Messrs Coup, J. Boyer and J. Kennedy are away on holiday bent. Mrs. Burgoyne, of Herekino, and Mrs. Powell of Takapuna are spending a few days with Mrs. T. Martin of Mangonui.
Miss Winnie Foster of the- Kawakawa nursing staff, is home at Bruce Farm, Mangonui, on leave for a few days, before taking up her duties at the Rawene Hospital. Mr. Best, of Otanapui, has returned, after an extended trip through the North and South Island. He intends settling down on his holding at Cautillion’s Basin.
The shooting season opened with a series of gun reports all round the township and outlying areas. Some very fair bags were obtained : thiee sportsmen are reported to have bagged 35 ducks, while a number of other less fortunate sportsmen arrived back in the evening with from 2 to 6 brace each.
Mr. W. Parry M.P. has been asked to deliver a political addfess in McKay’s Hall, on Tuesday, 15th May. A good gathering is expected.
