NORTHERN STOCK SALES.

The sale of Jersey heifers on account of the estate of A. E. Panther conducted by the N. A. Farmers’ last Thursday, attracted a good bench of buyers, and fifty heifers were sold at an average price of about £4 10/-, the majority going to the Broadwood district. Good sorts made up to £6 2/6, while late calvers ranged from £3 15/- up. There is a fair demand for forward cows but backward sorts are dull of sale.
