Whangaroa Dairy Factory.
A special meeting of directors of the Whangaroa Co-op. Dairy Company to approve the balance sheet before publication, was held at Kaeo. All things being considered, the season’s payout (9.18 d over all grades) was deemed satisfactory. It was recommended that interest on paid-up share capital be reduced to 3i%, thus enabling a bonus of .75d per lb to be paid on the whole of the season’s supply of butterfat. This leaves a balance of £lB to be carried forward to the reserve. It was unanimously decided to continue to consign through W. E. Lewisham, New Zealand agent for Messrs. Salter and Stokes. The secretary was instructed to pay out as much as possible for the June supply, as the directors considered that winter supply paid wages and upkeep in the factory. The annual meeting of suppliers was fixed to take place in Pye’s hall, Kaeo, on August 3rd at 1 p.m. sharp.
