Mr. Con Thode is paying a short visit to the district. Mrs. O. Kitchen, of Kaitaia, left this week on a visit to her brother Mr. F. Kunicich of Hamilton. Miss Florence Parker has returned from a holiday in the South. Mr. O. Fisher, of Fairburn, lias been made a Justice of the Peace. Mr. Les Urwin who was injured in the Mangonui—Hokianga match and had to be taken to the Itawene Hospital is progressing satisfactorily. Mr. S. Hollay, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Hollay of Kaitaia, who for some time lias been in the Napier district, arrived home on a holiday trip this week. Miss May Black, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Black of Kaitaia, who is on the staff of the Palmerston North Hospital, was successful in passing the State Nurses Examination.
