Murder Charge Hearing at Kaitaia.

, Rin Manuel, the Maori youth who is Charged with the murder of Hati Robson at Pukepoto on January Bth. appeared before Mr. G. N. Morris S.M., at the Court, Kaitaia on Wednesday. Mr. Meredith of the Crown Solicitor's office Auckland, prosecuted, and Mr. R. K. Trimmer of Whangarei, and Mr. R.H. Kelly of Kaitaia, appeared for the accu. Bed. Lengthy evidence from a number of natives was heard, the proceeding lasting through Wednesday, Thursday and to-day (Friday) it being anticipated that the case will be completed this afternoon. Supply of Seeds and Manure to married men in the North Through the efforts of Mr. L. A. Me w tosh. Secretary of the Dairy Company, various firms in Aucktand have donated six sacks of seed potatoes and two tons of manures for distribution among the unemployed married men in the North. The Northern Steamship Company have agreed to carry these donations free * of cost. The seeds and manure will be available about July when they will be distributed among the married n*en whose'circumstances warrant the gifts, in the Far # Nokth.
