The Kaitaia W.E.A. class is engaged in the reading and study of Israel Zangwill’s play, “The War God,” a play published three years before the Great War and reflecting then the prevailing war spirit and war intrigue. The Northern Wairoa Land Settlement League at its meeting on Saturday resolved to telegraph to the Rt. Hon. J. G. Coates the following resolution : “That this meeting' urges the Minister in charge of unemployment relief to use available unemployed in developing suitable unimproved or partially improved lands.”
