Notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Mangonui County Council at its meeting to be held at the County Ollice, Kaitaia, on Friday 18th September 1931, to make ami levy a General Rate under the provisions of Section 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act 1920” and under section 51 and 54 of “The Rating Act 1925” on the unimproved value of all Rateable property within he County a' appearing on the Valuation Rolls for the time being in force, for the various Ridings of the County of Mangonui as follows : Ahipara Ridi tg. 'Twopence one farRings in the £. Avvauui „ Three pence three farthings in the f. Herekino Houhora Kaitaia Mangonui Oruru Three pence halfpence in the £. Three pence three farthings in the £. Three pence one farthing in the £. Four p nee in the £. Three pence in the £. Victoiia Valley „ Three pence one farthing in the £. Hospital and Charitable Aid Rates 1931 32. Also under Section 52 ot “ The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926,” to make and levy a separate rate of one penny half penny in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable propertiesappearing on the valuation roll for the time being in force in the County of Mangonui to meet contributions levied by the Mangonui Hospital Board. Also the annually recurring Loan Special Rates to . p-ovide Interest and Sinking Fund on Loans raised by the Council to be collected in accordance with the amounts required to meet the annual interest and sinking fund charges on the said Loans. Such General, Hospital, and Sp-cial Rates to be for the year commencing on tie first day of April, 1931, and ending on the 31st day March. 1932, and to be due and payable in one instalment en the 27th day of October, 1931, to the Collector, Charles McKinnon at the Council’s Office, Kaitaia, where the valuation Rolls and Rate Book are open for inspection during office hours. Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, Olh August, 1931. NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act, 1915, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia Town District Subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, and on the unimproved value of all land in the subdivision of the Kaitaia Drainage Area cutside the Kaitaia Town District the general rates described in the Second Schedule, such respective rates being for the put pose of meeting maintenance costs for the period from the Ist April, 1931, to the 31st March, 1932. The amount of such rates, less a subsidi o sixteen shillings (16s) for one pound (£1), together with the annually recurring special rates already made and levied) will be payable in one sum on the 30th August, 1931. The valuation roll and the rale book of the district will be open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Chief Drainage Engineers Office, 5 Law Court Buildings, High Street, Auckland, and copies of same may be inspected at the office of the Chief Drainage Engineer, Kaitaia, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business. First Schedule. Town Subdivision. On the unimproved value of all land within the Kaitaia T own District, seventytwo one-hundredths of a penny (0.72 d) in the pound. Second Schedule. Rural Subdivision. Class A. On the unimproved value of all land classified as Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under Section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act, 1928, eight pence and thirty-nine one-hundredths - of a penny (8.39 d) in the pound. Class B. On the unimproved vdue of ail land so classified as Class B two pence and ninety-four one-hundredths of a p. nny (2941!) in the pound. Cass C.
