HINKLER’S NEW FLIGHT

AUSTRALIA IN SEPTEMBER Bert Hinkler will attempt to fly from England to Australia, thence around the Continent and back to England within one month, according to London advice received by C. C. Wakefield & Go.

Sq. Leader Hinkler intends hopping off on this attempt early in September and will be accompanied by Capt. Mclntosh who has been associated with Hinkler on previous long distance flights and is a very experienced and well known pilot. Together these two aviators once attemped a worlds non-stop distance record, but had a forced landing at Warsaw. They will fly a Tri Motor Fokker Avro 10 fitted with three Armstrong-Siddelep Engines each of 220/240 H.P. Australian National Airways Ltd., have five of these machines operating on their Brisbane-Syd-ney Melbourne routes and during the past six months have flown over 225,000 miles with them.
