PERSONAL.
Mr. and Mrs. C. S. Puckey and family have returned from H uhora and are spending a f:w weeks’ holiday in Auckland. Mrs. A, J. Matthews is spending a holiday in the south. Mrs. R. H. Matthews has returned from Auckland, where she has been spending a holiday. Mrs. Hart, who has been staging with her mother, Mrs. Ryan, returned to Auckland last Saturday. Mrs. Marston, of Wellington, is on a visit to her parents at Kaitaia. Mrs. Ryan, who has been seriously ill for some time, was admitted to the Mangonui Hospital last week. Mr. J. Smith, of Hikurangi, who was for a number of years a resident ot Awanui, was a visitor to the races last Saturday. Mrs. Smith iecently underwent a serious operation, but is progressing satisfactorily towards recovery, Miss N. Nathan is spending a tew days in Kaitaia, and will return to Whangarei on Thursday.
