AWANUI ATHLETIC SPORTS.
ANNUAL MEETING GOOD ATTENDANCE The Awanui Athletic Sports Club held its annual meeting at Point Domain, Awanui on December 26. There was a good attendance of visitors from outlying districts and many competitors, some travelling as far as from the Bay of Islands, and the many events contributed to an excellent day’s sport. The push bike events drew the largest number ot entries and these, together with the motor-cycle events, proved most interesting from the spectators point of view. , Following are the results of the various events: — Maiden Handicap, 100 yards.
