SECOND AERIAL CARNIVAL.

PLANES DUE ON FRIDAY MINISTER PROBABLY NOT COM'NG. Kaitaia and the surrounding

district will see a second aerial carnival this week end. Two Moth planes, piloted by Captain Hewett and Mr. D. Mill are due to arrive at Ahipara on Friday and will make passenger flights on Saturday and Sunday, going on to Oruru next Monday. The Minister of Defence, the Hon. T. M. Wiiford, had also premised to pay a flying visit, but in view of his recent appointment as High Commissioner for New Zealand his arrangements will probably be upset. No definite word has been received as to his intentions. Mr. Grant Dalton, Director of Air Services, was also expected to visit the district with the other airmen, but the Kaitaia Aero Club has received no definite advice as 10 whether he will come. It was further anticipated that Major Isitt would pay a visit in a Bristol Fighter or in one of the Fairy monoplanes of the Air Force, but in his cise also definite information is lacking.
