Executive Meetings v Arrangements For Next a Show v A meeting of the Executive of 1 e the Mangonui A & P Association 1 } was held in theA&P Hall on j Saturday evening. 1 The new president, Mr. A. McL. 1 Wright was in the chair, there ' also being present, Mesdames Geard and Wilkinson, Messrs J Cowie, A Wilkinson, A. W. Masters, C. S. Puckey, W, Berridge, D. R. Jameson, W. Johnson, Rix, J. H, Bedggood, R. G. Bricn. and I J. Clark. ' The president thanked the members for having elected him ] to the position of president to the 1 Association. He stated that he < could not help feeling that he had 1 the Association behind him in 1 the policy which he intended to J adopt, and hoped he would do ] justice to the position. It was i his intention to try and rid the Association of its liabilities and i ' he knew he would get all assis- j' tance possible from the execut- '; ive. | In conclusion Mr. Wright said j 1 he would work to further the show in the interest of the district. 1 ' Along discussion took place on a letter, held over from the last, ; executive meeting, from Mr. DJohnstone. Messrs C. S. Puckey and D. 1 Jameson addressed the meeting ' on the Herd Testing Associate' ion’s dealings with Mr. Johntsone J and there was a difference of j 1 opinion on the action to take with ( regard to the silver cups held by 1
Mr. Johnstone. iwu resolutions were carried which will be given effect to on the evidence of Messrs Puckey and Jameson being confirmed in writing. Several new classes were added to the schedule, but owing to lateness of the evening the complete schedule revision was deferred until the next meeting of the executive on October 26th.
