USES OF A DOLLAR
In a test to see the work actually accomplished in New York by a dollar, a request was attached to a note of this denomination, asking each spendci to record every transaction in which the note was used. The test revealed that the dollar changed hands times in 14 days: salary, candy, motor ear accessories, tooth paste, shaves, and many other miscellaneous articles appeared in the record.
