The Farmers’ Troubles Dairy Catlle Ailments Mr. Scully representing Rings Veterinary Surgeons gave an interesting address and demonstration on the diseases and treatment of dairy cattle at Mr. Frank Puckey’s farm on Monday. Mr. Scully described the methods to adopt to combat the infectious diseases such as mammitis, vaginitis, and the treatment of cows for bad quarters and hard milkers. The treatment for bloat was described and several innoculations ot a serum, were given to cows to render them immune from mammitis. Mr Scully is stationed at Whangarei and will pay another visit to the district at a later date.
