Obituary
Mrs Maurice Morine On Sunday morning last, the death occurred at her-home at Fairburn of Mrs Maurice Morine, in her 46th year. Deceased was Iporn at Christchurch in 1882, and spent her early life in the Cathedral City. Later she was married to Mi Morine and came to reside in the Fairburn district. Deceased was of a very happy and bright disposition, having a charming personality. She enjoyed good health comparatively speaking, and only became ill on Friday last. Her condition was worse on Saturday and she expired on Sunday morning as stated. Her mortal remains were interred in the Fairburn Cemetery on Monday, the service being conducted by the Rev Mr Grice. Deceased leaves four children, a son and three daughters to mourn their loss Mr Munn of Kaitaia was a cou. sin of deceased. Mrs Alice Brown. The death toe it place at Mangatoetoe, Fuubiun, on Thursday last, of Mrs Alice Brown at the residence of her daughter Mrs J Prosser. The deceased lady has been in iil-healih for about eighteen months, so her demise was not altogether unexpected, and she had attained her ninety-third year. With the passing of Mrs Brown another link is severed in the chain of the Northland’s pioneers. For many years Mr and Mrs Brown lived at Kaeo, and came to Fairburn some twelve years ago Mrs Brown was predeceased by her husband Mr Charles Brown some years ago. She is survived by a family of two daughters and two sons, namely Mrs J Prosser, Fairburn; Mrs J Irvine, Kaitaia; Mr SfWright, Auckland; and Mr Brown of Matata. The funeral took place at Fair burn last Saturday.
