We publish telegraphic information to-day that Mr Poison, the head of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union in the Dominion is definitely announced as a candidate tor Parliamentary honours at the general election. This will cement the farmers f irees throughout the country and will give them representation in Parliament. On Monday of this week a momentous political conference was held in Wellington which will mean uniting mtnv branches of political tioughf, .representing possibly the biggest parly in the country to-day. Ample funds are available, and candidates carrying the banner of this party will have the support of commercial and farmers’ interests alike. It is the most important conference yeV‘heltf, "arid the result when announced, should have far-reaching effect throughout New Zealand.
